Why on earth would the Suns do that?

Before the deadline there will be many teams that could use a competent center and all of them would pay more than a negative asset for that.

From my count they have about five or six centers and riding three or four of them on the bench while they attempt to win is no way to make a sale later on. Plus, i imagine that Cody is still a pretty attractive prospect for some considering his age and his pedigree.

I doubt there's another franchise in the league that'd be duped by "maybe he'll be good like his brother" other than the nepotism-Jazz.
