I was just curious to see if anyone cares about human life, whether it is a cop or not.

I guess silence is an answer.

So if the cops react like the common citizen does in response to excessive force, will it be viewed as okay and a way to change the system?

The difference is ... If someone kills a cop, they are going to prison for sure every time. As they should. When a cop kills someone very often there are no consequences. Sometimes it is justified, sometimes its not. But they are very rarely even prosecuted.

Actually the difference is the joker was right. The dark Knight joker not the jazz fanz joker. Kinda sad really that as long as it was according to the plan, I. E. Part of the job description, there is no need for anyone to care. ****ed up world we live in to be sure.

You know what I've noticed? Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying! If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan". But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!

but yeah michael brown in my eyes is a gangbanger still everybody paniced :P

but the joker is awesome.

also pisses me off this new tatted up hipster joker is a fraud

A little late on this thread but I'm jut going over the posts I missed.

I care about as much as I do when anyone innocent gets killed. It's a horrific situation because that LEO was son to a family and maybe even a brother or a husband to someone. But as I stated in other threads regarding police brutality, I thought this was going to happen sooner or later, especially when the the populace gets fed up with rogue officers functioning outside of the law, lying about it and then getting caught after the fact as a result of forensic evidence submitted by a citizen. The well known "blue line" is also to blame for this skewed perception.

Who can forget this case:

These no-knock warrants are tantamount to gestapo like practices in fascist states. And what makes them even worse is that no due diligence/ reconnaissance is done before they serve otherwise they would know that the person they were looking for wasn't even in the house! The icing on the proverbial cake is that the lawyers for police officers argued that it was the babies fault for being there!

The police officers around the country need to step up and root out rogue cops or these "random" cop killings are going to happen.

I honestly believe that the backlash against cops is helping contribute to these cop shootings. Horrible. Hope they catch the guy and nail him for 2 counts of attempted murder.

This is one reason I support dramatically increasing police officers pay and benefits.

It's a double edged sword where the LEOs are in a no win scenario. Is there police brutality? Absolutely and it plays into this. But some parts of society have turned from protesting that to protesting anything LEO related. Justified or not. We see it here on this very board. Both play huge parts in this. It's become popular to hate the police.
