Really? Do you agree with every political opinion offered by all/any of your religious leaders? I thought you were more independent than that. Why would you think Obama specifically, or black people generally, lack such independence? Do you think Romney would have followed exactly the policies being laid out for him by Mormon leadership?

I agree that the birther stuff was particularly ludicrous. An equivalent example would have been the claim that, as POTUS, Romney would take his orders from the Mormon leadership, and if any Obama intimates were saying things like that, Obama should have rebuked them.

On the other hand, at worst Wright is giving his opinions on the state of the country. I don't see that to being the same thing as accepting character assaults.

What is pathetic is your economic analysis. Perhaps Germany's announcement that their economy is slowing down had more to do with the market change.
