What's new

O'Conner- GET MANSAPPED SIGNED LONG TERM!!!

If he makes what he makes this year I'm all for it. Anything more than 7m a year and I pass easily.

Which probably means if I was in charge he would not be back. Also if he won't extend this off season I trade him before he can become a FA and we get nothing for our most tradeable asset.

Sounds like you would run a team of players that couldn't wait to get out of utah, so they could sighn elsewhere for what they were actually worth. And the average time of a player would be a year and a half because you would be tossing heads like kicking in pumpkins. Thank God intellectuals are the decision makers and not street tards.

What 17 ppg, 9 rpg, 2 spg player that can play the two hardest positions to simultaneously be able to play (3 and 4, because one is a perimeter position, and one is a big position), can lead the break, is the sole torch-bearer for the franchise, and the best player over the last two seasons for a team is not worth more than $7 million a year? Which, by the way, is less than he's being paid.

4 years $32 million is what he's making. Pretty common knowledge. Average it out. But apparently, he's overpaid.

Only on ****ing Jazzfanz.

Sometimes I ****ing love you. Thanks. This is a perfect statement.

...yeah, our "intellectuals" have really made some great basketball decisions in recent years! That Klinko re-signing was a real dozie! The ONLY way we could have possibly thrown more money away....would have been to directly toss it in the dumpster!

actally big al is the msot tradeable asset

paul is probably the most tradeable. his cap hit is actually larger than the cash owed him (because of the way the RFA deal was structured), so it makes him a pretty valuable expiring-year pick-up for a team that needs help on the cheap.

al is also expiring, but is a lot less cheap (15M next year) which means a team would either have to give up some decent assets or have a ton of cap space. that narrows the list of potential buyers considerably.

but numby's exactly right... the jazz are getting a deal out of paul millsap even if you just take into account his average yearly of $8M. he is the jazz's best player right now, and anybody who thinks otherwise spends more time looking at box scores than watching basketball.
