What's new

O'Connor: Jazz could hire big man coach soon.

Don't get my hopes up...****, too late. Damn it, I hate you.

While it's a long shot, it's possible. Guy doesn't coach for anyone, but he's always "consulting" with young bigs to help them in the post. I could see the Jazz using him, much like how they intrigated Hornacek into the picture. He could still live and work out of Houston, but maybe they figure out a way to bring him in or bring him on road trips to exclusively "consult" with the Jazz. While most Jazz fans will be clamoring for the Mailman, I'll be clamoring for Olajuwon.

John Stockton.

He can coach big guys, have you seen his footwork, and screen setting.
Not to mention that game face he puts on when mad.

Olajuwon for Development Coach
Malone for Strength and Conditioning

Hakeem had such beautiful footwork, and so many moves & counters.

I would be a very happy jazz fan to have Hakeem on board teaching the young bigs! Count me in.

What about the utes old coach Boylen? Wasn't he the big's coach for Houston for Olajuwon and Yao Ming. He's coached some of the best in the game as far as bigs go.

He also coached Washburn and Foster at the Utes.
They tore it up.

We might want to give him some time to recover before throwing him into the fire.
