Surprised to see a lot of Collier negativity when I came away pretty impressed with some sequences. He had one really impressive tough finish. He's now had 2 games where he got multiple steals (at least from what I remember watching). And in the first half when the offense was really stagnant he came in and was a nice change of pace.

I just got back from the game. My main takeaway is that Keyonte isn't a lead initiator. I don't think he processes and makes reads fast enough to be a lead decision-maker with the ball. Truthfully, I'm not sure there's anyone on the roster that's better suited than Keyonte at the moment, but I wouldn't pencil in Key as PGOTF. I still think he's a score-first combo-guard. He can make a few plays, but I'm not sure the feel is really there.

Also, Reed Sheppard kind of reminded me of Trey Burke watching him today. Like the only shot it felt like he could get was the PNR mid-range pull up. But it did look buttery.

He's just small. It's hard to make an impact when there's just so little physical presence. He couldn't even get a hand up to bother Clarkson's shots.

What do you see in him that’s so incredible. He can’t create not all that athletic and not strong. He’s looking like a decent defender at worst and a good finisher but he can’t get inside because he can’t dribble drive or create separation.

So someone tell me why he’s so special?

He defends and moves the ball. He's not ready to score in the NBA. I think he'll probably spend time in the Gleauge.

We can put on the floor the Ultimate No-Bounce Team: Kessler, Bryce, Collier and Patty Mills. Just need to trade for Ingles to complete the lineup.

I wouldn't want to be the Rockets though. They tanked a season for Jalen Green. Then they tanked a season for Jabari Smith. Then they tanked a season for Amen Thompson. Then they just got Reed Sheppard with a #3 pick. They don't have anyone on their roster who can be a top-40 player in the league.

People criticize Detroit, but I'm not sure Houston has done much better.

They look like a foundation of a quality bench in the NBA. And Brice also looks like a Spurs' players: smart, deliberate, always under control, always finding the right pass.
