It makes more sense to decline the option on Cody than not extending Walker because of cap space considerations.
Sure, but neither really make sense. We should have plenty of cap space to do whatever are realistically going to do next off season with Cody and with an extended Kessler.

I really don't understand the purpose of cutting or trading Cody right now. His salary and roster are not preventing us from doing anything.
Because we are going to have to make decisions on some of our young guys in the near future.

At this point it's only who we are going to prioritize from a development standpoint, i.e. who plays and who doesn't. We should only have one rookie coming in next year, we will have plenty of roster spots.

If there was some diminishing returns for trading him, then maybe that makes sense, but I don't see any reason to not pick up his 3rd year.

It was more of a figure of speech of how bad he’s been that it crossed my mind.

Pretty sure WCJ and Keyonte are of eerily similar size. WCJ might actually be bigger.

Keyonte is still younger which is weird.
Google tells me keyonte is 6 foot 4 and 185 lbs with a 6 foot 8 inch wingspan.
Google tells me that WCJ is 6 foot 2 and 199 lbs with a 6 foot 4 wingspan.
fwiw
This also tracks with what my eyeballs are seeing.

Keyonte claimed to be 6'4" with a 6'7" wingspan, but refused to be measured at the combine, he was the last person that could refused to be measured as this was changed under the new CBA.

We don’t have official measurements on Keyonte. Also, 6’ 4” and 6’ 2” are the same size if one is wearing shoes and the other isn’t (I strongly recall that Keyonte’s unofficial w/o shoes measurement is about 6’ 2.5”).

The weight also might be telling a story.

If you all haven’t witnessed Locke’s hair on Locked on Jazz today, it’s worth a YouTube search.

On the other hand it seems pretty obvious that Key is a few inches taller simply by watching the two players play basketball. Its obvious to me anyways. The length difference appears rather obvious to me as well. As for the weight, WCJ looks much stockier/thicker to me. That would account for WCJ being heavier.
