One man’s generic is another man’s exquisite I suppose. My only question to you would be then if Kristen was generic what the heck is Holly Rowe?

Kustok is also super smart and invested… whereas Holly is doing it as one of like 5 gigs… I do respect the hustle.

Boler is a moron and does derail the whole thing with his stupidity… like having a terrible QB… not sure a RB or TE can shine when he’s out there throwing pick six’s.

Thurl is kinda just dry.. he’d work well with someone that was excitable maybe… I just think they should scrap the whole thing and see if they can find something better.

Well Boler and Thurl are getting a little long in the tooth, and Holly, well you know…..

I agree with this. Holly has said some weird **** too though.

Thurl and Holly seem like AI versions of commentators… like it’s just not quite natural… Boler is like an old man using technology… just constantly confused over basic ****.

I often listen to the opposing team broadcast… and while some are a bit too homerific I find them genuinely knowledgeable about both teams. And generally just is really natural and fluid.

Someone with 20+ years of experience, works for ESPN, and has done a lot of big games w/ various sports.

Well she has figured out a way to get work consistently despite not being the overly sexualized model that a lot of women in sports media have to be, so she must be doing something right.

Truthfully, I’d be happy with her as a sideline reporter. In the booth, not so much.

She is so mediocre at her job. The only reason she is around is that the Jazz wanted to hire a bigger name and unfortunately she was available. Of course the only reason she was available is that other places realized she was mediocre.

Isn't she a BYU alum as well?

And I like most national announcers… Reggie Miller is about the only one I shudder at when I see he’s calling the game. Our broadcast in general just feels so blah… like even have some more weird **** like the diamond play of the game. Maybe go to a two man booth and bring a funny person in for a quarter to liven stuff up.

I just miss Hot Rod I guess.

Truthfully, I’d be happy with her as a sideline reporter. In the booth, not so much.

Sideline is like news reporting… in the booth it’s improv… it’s just a different skill set.

Also when Vando got his finger roll blocked by the rim I lost all hope for him to ever have a significant skill jump as a scorer.
