OFFICIAL Big Enes Injury Update/Watch Thread

That is different than the report the people on 1280 were saying. They were saying he would be healthy and participating in summer league.

I hate agents.

Also heard that Kanter had quite the party last week to celebrate his 21st birthday.

I fail to see why Kanter playing in the Summer League is a good idea. If he was completely healthy maybe doing the training camp part of it. But Kanter doesn't need the summer league badly enough to risk his shouldler before he is completely recovered.

I hope so. The dude has worked hard and deserves to take a day off and let loose. Good for him.

did anyone else hear Bill Oram on 1280 the other day say that Favors will be playing in summer league???

He needs it. Favors has all the potential in the world, but hasn't improved much, especially offensively in the last couple of years. The Jazz are just about to throw a lot money at him and probably want to see him as much as possible.

Tweet from @Utah_Jazznation :
"@Enes_Kanter is ahead of rehab schedule & will be ready 4 Jazz camp in the Fall says Richard Smith (Jazz Director of Basketball Operations)"

It would be a mistake to throw major money at Favors now. He is not even the best player from his draft class on our roster - Hayward is. I actually think Kanter will do better than Favors this year if he gets a chance to play. I sure hope this is a breakout year For favors, but would not be surprised with 12 and 9 type of numbers as a starter. Not bad, but definitely not a difference maker. Let's see what the guy can do this year before extending a huge offer to him. He will be RFA next year, and we hold all the cards. So far I have not seen enough to give him a huge extension.

Both first round picks + favors for #1 pick. Favors will hit his peak this year or next. He hasn't developed a good enough 18 foot jumper to remain relevant offensively when his athleticism starts to come down.
