Isn't Beal way out of our reach?
Yes, unless the Jazz can get another top 5 pick. And with that, I'd guess I'm being kind. Honestly, I think he's a top 3 guy at this point.

Does it matter that Burks is a 2 as well, though? If Beal is BPA, then so be it, I guess, but it's not all about talent, either. Environment is a relevant consideration.
Let's see we have Burks Bell and Cj that play sg. If the jazz think like we do Cj won't be back and it looks like the jazz are not all that high anymore on Bell Beal and Burks would be great together rotating at the position. I like Hayward at sf who can move to sg or point. I also have a feeling Howard will be back.
Hayward is just as much a 2 as he is a 3. He can play either, that give us the flexibility to pick a 2 or 3.
But... you didn't say anything about Burks. You want the Jazz to spend a 9th-11th pick on a guy that forces Hayward to exclusively play a position he's a little undersized for and puts him in a direct competition with another - to this point, impressive - player?

If you believe Burks and Hayward aren't busts/are real parts of the Jazz's future, drafting a 3 (or even better, a large wing that can guard multiple positions well) is what best utilizes Hayward's ability to play two positions.
I like Beal. He interests me quite a bit actually. But... context matters. This doesn't seem like choosing to draft Bowie over Jordan or Oden over Durant.
I think Hayward should be our 6th man, alongside Millsap or Kanter, and see us needing a 3 who can shoot and play defense even more. Tony Mitchell anyone?
I'm with you, I'm not all that exited about the sf options in the draft other then MKG, and it's obvious we aren't going to have a chance to draft him. I could also care less wether Hayward plays sg sf or even a little pg. Hayward is just a b-ball player period. As for Royce I think PKM mentioned him the other day, and he does seem intriguing. Tell me if I'm wrong but isn't he 270 lb's, if so not sure how he can guard sf's.I just don't really see many great SF's in this draft. If I have to choose between Barnes and Beal, not sure who I would take. Burks,Beal, and Hayward can easily form a 3 man wing rotation. We might be a little undersized when Burks and Beal are out there, but with Favors and Kanter manning the post, I'm not really worried about defensive disadvantages.
I do appear to be in the minority that thinks Hayward is equal in either the 2 spot, or 3 spot.
At this point, Royce White is my favorite potential 3 man. Not sure if he can be a full time 3, but PKM said he was bring the ball down the court effortlessly against MGK, who is considered a top defender, even by NBA standards. If he could improve his shot (form looks solid) but % have a long way to come, he would be a dream SF. Also considering he spent even more time than Kanter has away from competitive basketball (sat out 2 years, one being completely away from ball, the other being a transfer year) his potential is insane.
You can be president of the Tony Mitchell fan club and I'll be the vice. I wonder what it would take to get in the mid 20's to get Mitchell
I forget his name, but I wouldn't mind drafting that sf from kentucky in the 2end round? I think he has a future in the NBA.
Darius Miller? I like him, too.
Is Thomas for Ohio St a chucker? PKM, want your thoughts on him por favor

All I know is that his triple-double highlight video gives me chills.
