That was by far the best dunk contest since Vince Carter won it in 2000. Gordon got absolutely robbed though. They should have just given both of them a trophy.

I don't think Gordon got robbed in the previous dunk contest he was in.
He just happened to be up against the greatest dunk contest dunker of all time.

I wont disagree but all dunk contests involve more than one dunk. If it were a one dunk winner take all format then I would agree that he was robbed. However there were multiple dunks from each participant in that dunk contest and lavine had the best dunks, plural.

I didn't see any dunk contests before Michael and nique so I have no opinion on any before them but I have seen them all since then
Vince was the best I ever saw up until lavine.
Lavine is the best I ever seen in a dunk contest setting. Everything is so easy for him.
Jordan would leave from a step inside the free throw line and double clutch/pump dunk it.
Lavine would leave from farther away and go through his legs or around his back and dunk it like it's nothing.

I wish they would do a horse style dunk contest.
I don't think anyone could do a dunk that lavine couldn't do. (That Gordon dunk in the post that I responded too might be the only one as that might be the best dunk contest dunk of all time) His hangtime and distance he can travel though the air and height is unmatched.

If there were a way to get all the best dunkers at the height of their ability then my money would be on lavine to win it. Vince Carter would probably be my number two though Gordon might claim that spot. That one handed catch off the side of the backboard 360 windmill type dunk Gordon did tonight was about as good as any.
