What's new

Official *FAVORS WATCH* thread

Favor's isn't signing a one year deal with Utah - it's probably literally his last resort if he faces a bone dry market.

He just went through a contract year where he played healthy virtually wire to wire and showed good life/production in the playoffs - he's not going to want to do that again. Hell, I'm not even sure he CAN do that again.
It would be in his best interest most likely. Jazz can pay him more for a 1 year deal than anyone else will. Unless he gets a really good offer it's more likely he can get a bigger contract in a future year.

If I were managing a team, I would probably be using big 1 year deals quite often.

All these teams that went and spent up the cap with long term big deals when the cap jumped, are stupid as hell. Completely incompetent fools who dont deserve their jobs.

This last year KCP and Reddick are perfect examples of how to hire mediocre help when you have cap room and the big fish wont sign. It works for both parties.

It boggles the mind that players like Evan Turner and Solomon Hill were given the deals they were just because the team had cap space.

Favors is better than mediocre, but there is also questions about health and fit. So I think he falls into the category of keep your books clean.
