I'm sorry if I'm not ready to anoint Alec a changed man after 1 game where he made the correct passes and actually attempted open 3 pointers (though he still passed some up). Do that stuff over a course of a month.

Burks could average more points the entire season and still wouldn't be 1/10th the player Hayward is.

If Burks averaged more points, rebounds, and assists on better percentages at 2/3 of the price at a younger age with less experience you would still say he is 1/10 of the player that Hayward is.

Hater? More like realist. I see what he is, and appreciate what he does and recognize its uniqueness and place in the league. I just think the team has greater needs than what Alec brings,I think Alec could be a lot better on a different team, and I think the Jazz could be a lot better with a different player.

The notion that I get mad when Burks plays well is ridiculous. I would love to be wrong and have Alec be great and not get traded. I wouldn't care about being wrong about him, but until he starts having games like last night more consistently (against good teams) I will remain skeptical.

The Portland game he was making the right pass his timing was just off. Remember he sat out for most of last year. I think as he gets that timing down(like last night) we will see plenty of assists from Burks.
