Was it a real rivalry in the 80's? I've heard many BYU fans claim it wasn't a rivalry, even use terms like "little brother" when talking about that period.

I honestly don't think this is a real rivalry anymore. It's not that big of a game (for Utah), Utah is clearly the better team, the better program, and has the brighter future.

BYU needs to get into the Big 12 if they want this rivalry to be a real rivalry.
