Official Jazzfanz Poker Tournament and Viewing Party -- Game 3 -- 4-21 @ 4pm

I will be PMing all the people who indicated they are in so far tomorrow.

The menu I have planned at the moment is:

Milk Chocolate Fountain (I might mix in 1/4 to 1/3 dark chocolate so it isn't too sweet)
Fresh strawberries, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, pretzel sticks, banana, mandarin oranges, granola bars.

Traditional Hummus w/ pita and rice crackers

Pulled pork sandwiches
Creamy and vinegar based coleslaw
Regular and spicy BBQ sauce as well as a spicy vinegar based sauce.
Pickles, provolone, pepperchinis. red onion.

Honey Blonde Ale

If you would like to bring an item it would be greatly appreciated, but please do not feel obligated to do so.

Side that would complement the above would be awesome. Interesting beers are always more than welcome. Regular/lite Bud/Miller/Coors beers to share are also great.

Mother of God

And yet lose 60lbs?
Write a diet book dude. You will be rich.
The only thing I specifically try to avoid is sugar. Other than that it's the 3 Cs, Count Calories and do Cardio. I actually try to find fat to add to my diet, within calorie limits. I don't avoid carbs specifically, but that's the first thing I cut when trying to stay in my calorie limits, so I end up eating very few carbs because they are so high in easily cut calories.

I should add, I love the food I've been eating. It's not a diet. It's just good food that I love to eat. I just keep within my calorie limit Monday through Friday and eat one splurge meal on the weekend.

I've been eating a lot of fish. Like a lot.

I've always had a very sweet tooth but I'm trying to limit my sugar, it turns out I feel better the less sugar that I ingest. I try to be constant with cardio as well, with some jogging and occasional hikes with my dog.

So 70th S and Bangerter is a mess right now. You can not cross Bangerter going E/W at 70th. You can only make right turns off of Bangerter onto 70th. So that means if you're traveling south you can turn onto 70th going west, but if you're going north you can only turn onto 70th going east (away from my house). So check with your favorite map application for alternate routes.

Just out of curiosity, what is your calorie limit?

2000-2500 no adjustment for the 300+ burned with cardio, plus I walk at least 8 miles a day at work and intentionally try to walk as much as possible and stay on my feet instead of sitting down.

That includes an allowance of 2 beers a night.

I've read recently counting calories "doesn't work" which I think is because people aren't actually counting all the calories they eat and/or are shooting for stupid low calories like 1500 and they end up binging at some point because they are starving.

I think one of the biggest things I've done that I usually forget to mention is that I changed my bedtime. I work from 2pm-10:30pm and I used to stay up until 2am and wake up at 10am. When I started losing weight I changed my bedtime to midnight, less time to drink extra beers and eat an extra meal or snack. Waking up at 8am gives me the extra time to meal prep and go to the gym. I think it's important when trying to make a lifestyle change you make a disruptive change like that to help change habits/routines.
