Official MLB 2015 Thread

Not sure if serious, but the Rockies OPS was #1 at home and #29 on the road. They have some good players, but the Coors Field effect is massive.

Are all Chub fans on the heavy drugs? You'd have to be to root for such a garbage organization that doesn't care about winning. Colorado .921 ops so far, as if that is all that matters because you're a chub fan. They should rotenone the league of both the chubs and their fans.

So ignore the altitude when evaluating their hitting, but cite it when evaluating their pitching? They play more games @ Coors than anyone else. They should lead the league in hitting statistics every year.

Chubs druggie, I said there home road splits didn't change the fact I.I.R.C. If you have the stats then show them and I'll look. I don't know how to find them.

Giants fans are so much more interesting than nostalgic WGN kids who grew up od'ing on whatever drug Chicago ships out. Where are they all this season?

It doesn't really matter. You're all not really Chub fans because you didn't grow up in Chicago. UGLI said so.

Sure, Ttey don't change the fact that they had the best hitting stats in the league because they play 81 games at Coors field every year. They'd have to strikeout every at-bat on the road to not have the best stats in the league. Truth is, the Rockies offense sucked on the road.

.906 OPS at home, .636 on the road

If the Rockies had the best offense in baseball last year, they probably would have won more than 66 games

Your trolling is very weak in this thread. You do better work in the Jazz forum.

Weak sauce.

First off, they play in the worst hitting ballpark conference in the league and that's including Coors field. The majority of their road games are against elite pitcher fields. Add on top of that that pitchers love to sign with those teams because their stats get bumped and it makes it even more difficult for the Rox on the road. Do you understand what playing 40 games against @ the most stringent fields does to your %'s?

Second off, how would anyone hit when you're used to a ball breaking 60% less at home during those 81 games? No **** they hit worse on the road, just as everyone else does but with that additional handicap added.

You calling my jabs at dumbas Chub fans trolling is boring, frankly. The Rox were nationally recognized last year for their insane hitting. Then everyone went down with injuries, as is typical of ****ing Cargo my glove broke a lace I'm out 2 weeks, Tulo, and also Cuddy.

Best hitting team in the league.

Yeah, I always think that stats that prove I'm a troll are weak sauce too, but I'm happy that you have such excitement for your team. You remind me of the happy-go-lucky fans that you regularly argue with in the Jazz forum.

You sound like a guy trapped in fantasy sports who thinks context doesn't matter. Is that you're career goal? Honest question.

Yes, it is. I must be doing a terrific job. I'm surprised I am doing so well since I've never played fantasy sports.

You sound like the fan of a ****ty baseball team that no one cares about.

Like the Chubs? Oh wait, everyone cares about them because they're a perennial laughing stock. New York Knicks of baseball with even worse ownership.

I'm not making ludicrous statements that defy simple statistics. Laugh all you want at the Cubs, but I think 99% of people with a brain would rather be a Cubs fan than a Rockies fan going forward. Have fun finishing fourth in the division and having to overpay for scrub pitchers in the offseason.

That's why you're avoiding the road ballpark discussion and pretending split wasn't brought up.

In the end the only difference between the Rockies and the Chub is the Rockies will start out strong giving fans hope and fizzle but the Chub will always suck. I get why Chub fans behave irrationally like Rockets fans and revert to the big market card with LA Laker little brother syndrome.

Yeah, the Rockies play a lot of games in pitcher's parks. You're right, there's no way to know anything for certain, they are too many variables involved ....The Cubs actually had the best hitting team in the league. The wind blew in for sixty home games last season and only blew out during five of them...

The most important number is 66 tho. The Rockies won 66 games with the best offense in the league? Nah, nobody does that.

I am done engaging you now. I am really disappointed in my self-control for even responding to you in the first place while having full knowledge of your tendencies on this forum. I hope you got enough to feed yourself for a few days because I am done contributing to yet another discussion in which you engage someone in nothing more than a stupid semantic dispute.

Edit: I forgot how atrocious the Rockies actually were in the field last season. Maybe it is possible they had a murderer's row and still lost 96 games:
