That is exactly why you don't take the Knicks job. If you don't win soon enough, he will fire you right away. If you win, he takes the credit.

I don't think Phil Jackson is worried about his legacy it is solid no matter what he does. This is just media made up story and some fans are buying it.
 
If Lindsey wants to hire Boylen he must have plans to move to move the Jazz to vegas in 5 years. He would alienate half the state hiring that joke of a coach. Utah, USU, and BYU fans all think very low of him. That would destroy ticket sales.

Unbelievable we are going to hire some guy who looks like an accountant, Who had average success at the college level. So if the report is true then DL had his mind made already, it just doesn't make sense. DL is the guy who brought in 70+ guys before last years draft and now he is going to hire a coach right away without going through a coaching search process. If it is true then DL is not as smart as I thought he is.
 
Let's all hope that Spence Checketts is just screwing with everyone. I'd have to say he's an evil genius if true.
 
Not sure if this was already said. I didn't read every page but I would be happy with J van gundy. I wouldn't mind s van gundy either but Jeff has made it clear he wants to coach again. Not only that but he has praised Utah s system and history (with Sloan) on several occasions.
 
I think the best course of action is to take all the people whispering Boylen and realize they have no insider status whatsoever. Never believe anything they have to say about the Utah Jazz ever again. No WAY management is stupid enough to do this. No other team is going to give that guy a head coaching gig, let alone the market he already flunked out of at a lower level.
 
Jim Boylen as he next Jazz coach???? Here is what I say to that...

Regardless of the hire I'm going to come in with an open mind, but Jim Boylen is not a guy I like. That of course doesn't mean he won't be successful, but he was a very poor college coach.
