OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

I'll be shocked if the Jazz make the PO's. Lessons that should have been learned last year continue to bite them and it'll be enough to keep the playoffs out of reach.

When a team loses this many close games, and is involved in so many close games that shouldn't have been close to begin with, and when a team is failing to beat teams with clearly inferior talent, you have to blame the coaching.

How many of those have we lost with a full roster though. I can't be mad about losing close games starting the likes of Withey, Lyles and Neto

I agree with you, Quin is often praised and rarely criticized, his decisions down the stretch cost different losses. In addition I don't understand why he is not playing Withey. I didn't agree that he put Mack in the starting lineup immediately after his arrival.

Quin could be smart and so on but the way he is drawing plays down the stretch, it shows that he is inexperienced and feels too much the emotions of the game.

But that's a different issue altogether. Yes, some games likely would not have been close if we had a full-strength team(but then again, who was hurt last night), but this is about what happens once games are close down the stretch.

Trying to salvage hope here .... Basically, going 2-2 on this road trip is now a MUST. Beforehand, 1-3 was what I expected, with 2-2 as a plus. If we go 0-4, needless to say it is over.

Jazz are 2 games back from a .500 pace. They have their work cut out for them, but there's still opportunity to end up with a winning record and a likely playoff berth. That should still be the goal. Gotta get back to keeping teams under 90 points. That's when they have been most successful over the past year and a half.
