OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

Took longer than expected, but there's no surprises there. That franchise is a mess.

I was never too worried about Sacramento. Rockets are struggling; they could be the odd team out and finish behind Utah and Portland. Two of their next five are against the Blazers. Hope Portland wins both.

I'll keep this Jazz related despite last night's NFL victory by my team!

last night's recap:

Nuggets and Clippers won. Kings lost. Lol at the real GM posters that thought the Kings were better. Decent night for Utah.

Tonight's games:

Jazz don't play but some key matchups anyways

Kings @ Cavs
Lakers @ Pacers
Clippers @ 76ers
Nuggets @ Nets
Blazers @ Grizzlies (win win, 5th Seed Bandwagon Express!!)
Pelicans @ Wolves (I want the Wolves to beat out the Lakers in the lottery)
Thunder @ Suns (Same, Suns over Lakers in the lottery)

Jazz are 1 game ahead of Portland and 4 1/2 behind Memphis...

Put me down for a Lakers and 76ers win to go along with your other bolded.

I think I also want Portland

Yeah I can't bring myself to actively root for the Lakers but I want them to tumble down the lottery ladder. Suns and Wolves are good prospects to do that. And I's rather the Suns get it than the Wolves. Wolves already have a ton of talent.

I'm not sure that adding another #1 pick to the Timberpups is something we want to do. I'm pretty sure we can stay ahead of them as is, but if they add the best player in THIS draft too, that may be tough going forward. . .

I agree but if I had to place a #1 on either the Wolves or the Lakers I'd pick the Wolves.

I don't want Boston to get the top pick (via the Nets) or either the Lakers or Wolves. Likely the Kings, 76ers or Knicks - who are going to tank the crap out of this season from here on out. Maybe the Suns, but they're kind of like the Kings right now.

It would be neat if the Grizzlies decided to blow it up at the trade deadline.

I want the Lakers to keep their pick. That team is a mess, Even with cap space, what stars are going to want to go there? This isn't Showtime under Buss Sr? Its the "short Busses'" running the franchise (and sorry to all developmentally challenged kids for going there with that joke). Randle and Russell may turn out to be very good, but KAT and Wiggins are already looking like franchise players. I think Minnesota could be on their way to becoming one of the top-4 teams in the WC. Not going to happen this year or even next, but that is a helluva foundation to build on. It's kind of like OKC (well, Seattle at the time) getting Durant and Westbrook in successive drafts and then adding Harden. Damn, that team drafted well for 3-4 years! Ibaka and Bledsoe were great finds late. Only misstep was trading Landry for a future 2nd. Well, Green was underwhelming but they were going with a youth movement and at least got SOMETHING for their vets,

Sacramento with uninspired 1st-half defense again. I think the players WANT Karl fired, especially after that comment from Boogie about "bigger problems."

Cant believe how many coaches have already been fired this season: McHale, Hollins, Blatt, Hornacek and Fisher (did I miss anyone?).
I think Karl will join that list very soon. Scott should, but the Lakers are "Corbining" him. He still has his job because losses are the goal.
