What's new

OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

I hate to be that guy. But when we had about 8 games left. We all said as long as we only lost to GS, SA, and the Clippers, then we were right on track. Fish would win his bet, and we'd be above .500. Obviously that was the worst lost in years. But we can still technically accomplish the goals that we had a week or two ago.

Nah. It's reasonable. There have been two must-win games near the end of the season. On the road in Dallas and on the road in Houston. We won them both. Clippers was important but not a must-win.

This is terrible logic. Every game, with so few left and every team so close to being in or out of the playoffs, is must win. Last night, at home, was a must win game against a bunch of ****heads. And we ****ing choked. Again.

I'm not suggesting the game wasn't critical. I'm suggesting out of these games it's understandable the Jazz overlooked this one

This the kind of loss that prevents sleep. It will haunt your dreams.

I slept like a baby. I tend to have trouble falling asleep when the Jazz are screwed over by the refs. But last night the Clippers reserves beat us fair and square on our home floor - a game we should have won with ease.

The way Houston has been playing, I see us grabbing the 8th seed which isn't entirely bad because I'd prefer it to the 7th seed.

I know the 6th seed is somehow possible but call me crazy - I'd rather play Golden State than OKC.

I don't think the Jazz overlooked this one. Quite the opposite - I think they played tense as hell and caved in a bit to the pressure of the big game and the fact that they were "supposed" to beat the Clippers bench.

No. Actually this is terrible logic. All games count the same. This game didn't mean any more than losing to the Pistons in game 1 did.

Actually by definition last night was not must win. We only needed 3 out of the 4 remaining games. Now we need all 3 (if Houston wins out).
