Not really. I hate to be the one to go full old-man mode here, but expecting that people paid millions of dollars a year to give a **** and deliver is not unreasonable. We're at a point in the season where it doesn't matter if they're playing the Washington Generals, put your god damn ****ing foot on the gas pedal. Or on their throats. Whatever metaphor you want to use. Absolutely no excuse to mail it in.

Right, ideally this is how it should be. The other theory people are floating is that guys were overly nervous.

Regardless, it was one of the worst games of the last few years. Let's hope the team regroups and doesn't take anything for granted, and plays with confidence.

I subscribe to this theory. Nervous and choking are basically the same thing IMO. We always seem to do something really stupid to shoot ourselves in the foot everytime we have the chance to put someone away (bad pass, dribbing out of bounds, not boxing out for a critical rebound, shooting FT worse than Andre Drummond, etc.)
 
Bring on the eight seed. Imma be in east bay that week the jazz will start the playoffs. I will walk around wearing a jazz jersey and punch all those pricks in their fancy junk and laugh when the jazz go up 2-0.
 
For what it's worth the playoff odds from 538 has the jazz winning 41 and getting the 8 seed over a projected 40 wins for Houston.

Espn bpi has jazz missing playoffs losing tie breaker with Houston at 41 wins.


Houston is garbage.

Haha I get a kick out of these bold crazy remarks.
 
Not to get too far ahead, but we embarrassed the Lakers badly. But they were dealing with some team issues in addition to sucking. They will be highly motivated for that final game. Revenge is a dish best served cold as they say.
 
It's hard to feel confident going into any of these final games. I just don't trust this team not to choke.
