Official skills challenge, 3pt shootout and slam dunk contest

It reminds me of barrel racing.(rodeo) They should keep the skills challenge but issue each player a stick horse to ride:)

And have them jump through rings of fire and over pools of water that have sharks with laser guns on their heads.

First we are talking about difficult shots from well behind the line.

Second since stats are the end all be all for you let's look at their careers instead of half a season.

In 5 of his previous 11 seasons Korver shot under 40% from 3. Korver has never had a full season where he averaged over 3 makes per game. He has had 8 seasons where he averaged less than 2.

In all of his previous 5 seasons Curry has shot over 40% from 3. Curry has had 2 seasons where he averaged over 3 makes per game. He has had 0 seasons in which he averaged less than 2.

This season is not yet over we shall see how it shakes out. Whatever happens I bet Korver's 3PA per game go down while Curry keeps averaging 7+.

They are not the "end all be all", but thanks for polarizing it with your stupendous oratory. The main point is this, to say that Curry is the best shooter in NBA history at this point is horse ****. The dudes a pup and hasn't done **** yet. Curry is obviously a more complete player than Korver. Korver doesn't have the opportunities to do what Curry does, because he's incapable of even putting himself in those positions. With respect to attempts, how in the hell could Korver ever change that? It's like looking at a player from another era and saying "he just didn't put up enough shots", when the average was so much lower then. Name the players in NBA history who have ever shot over 50% for the year from three. Here I'll help you: https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/fg3_pct_season.html. By the way, Curry's coach is probably a better shooter than Curry. If you're not basing his skill mostly on percentage than you're basing it on speculation about shot difficulty. By the same token why don't we throw Durant into the mix, since his percentages would be much higher if he didn't shoot difficult shots, right?

I never said that. Here is my original post. Which one of us is over reacting?

Curry will possibly go down as the best shooter ever. Lavine has hops. Beverly got lucky tbh.

You can't be serious.

Curry is the undisputed best shooter in NBA history. Saying he might be in the top 5 of the NBA right now is retarded as hell.

I usually make sure to know what's going on in a conversation before I add my two cents...just my two cents.

Curry is an absolute magician with the ball. Korver doesn't even compare. He can essentially make any shot he wants. He knows the glass better than anyone in the NBA right now. He is basically toying with everyone in the NBA.

We are witnessing one of the greatest players to ever play the game. Enjoy it.

Did not mean to like this post but rather to reply. I was so distraught mentally by the response. I know you responded to my post, but it is apparent that you didn't read it. Durant, Lebron, and arguably Harden are all better than him. So what does this have to do with shooting? Unlikely I will respond again, since it's killing me to engage in this discussion with very little factual evidence. Curry's damn good. We can all agree with that and support it with facts.

Curry might be in the top five best shooters in the league, but I wouldn't say he's #1 at all. This is his fourth 3pt contest (I believe) and first time winning it. Kyle Korver is in my opinion the undisputed best shooter in the league (52% from three). Korver didn't deliver tonight, but he's over 12% pts higher than Curry's 3pt %.

I was discussing Korver vs Curry with you. Don't put Hacks words in my mouth.

I usually make sure to address individuals in a conversation. Just my two cents.

Lol.

Whatever. You liked it. You know it. Can't unlike a post.

....so, I ask you, to be one of the greatest players to ever play the game, don't you ACTUALLY have to accomplish something worthwhile first? Has Curry EVER won a scoring title? Has he ever WON an assists title? Has he ever WON a steals title? Has the team he's been on ever won a championship? How about a division title? How about a conference championship? I'm probably just "spit balling" here but my guess is NEVER to all those things! Hey, he's a nice kid that shoots and passes very well, but until he ACTUALLY accomplishes something noteworthy.....let's leave the "greatest player to ever play the game" to someone who's done something to earn that recognition!
