OFFICIAL: Trade Deadline Thread

Jefferson to the Spurs?

"San Antonio is making overtures to the Utah Jazz for low-post specialist Al Jefferson, according to SheridanHoops.com.

The Spurs could offer a package of center Tiago Splitter, Patrick Mills, Stephen Jackson, and the draft rights to European big man Erazem Lorbeck, the report also states. Teams have until Feb. 21 to complete trades."

Oh, please - let it be!

Splitter would be a good pick-up for us. The rest is just filler.

I would love to get Splitter - imagine having Kanter, Favors and Splitter. Mills would be a nice backup - he can hit the three and he plays defense. He's not a bad scorer either.

Can Jackson still play defense? I know his offense has dropped off....

Looks like this is late, but here is the Tweet:

Re: Sheridan's Ridnour report - told Utah has given some sort of assurance to A. Burks that he's not going anywhere, at least not for Luke.

Is Burks now a sell high contestant? Maybe instead of Lidnour they can trade him for some real talent like Aaron Brooks. (Sarcasm warning)

Burks and GST pick for Jimner

Thank goodness we're not trading Burks for Ridnour. Ridnour isn't a good defender either. I have faith in Kevin O' C.

The Burks for Lidnour trade isn't happening but it stinks like a trade the Jazz would do. And that is what scares me.

Watch them Trade Enes and Burks for Ramon Sessions and Hakim Warrick or something. The sad part is, it wouldn't suprise me.

Somedays its hard to be a Jazz fan.

Remind me the last time the Jazz made a terrible deal and didn't have the salary cap excuse.

I wonder who other amnesty candidates are. The Jazz could be big players in that area.

Off the top of my head.....

Biedrens, Tyrus Thomas, one of the three overpaid wings in Sacramento, Bargnani if they can't find a trade partner, Drew Gooden. Can the Lakers do it to Gasol?
