That wasn't my reasoning. Reading comprehension, my friend.Actually, I agree with your reasoning. It probably wouldn't be any fun for your bowl loss to also be your 5th in a row and 10th outta 13th to Utah.

I will Join youThe local media is all over it because it would be a 3 week feeding frenzy and make their job easier. While its likely to happen anyway, it seems like the local media is trying to will it to happen, which is already chapping my ***. If they end up facing off, I'm going on a message board/twitter boycott for my own sanity.
Vegas is 5th or 6th. I think it changes from year to year. Like they get the 5th team one year and the 6th team the next. Or it might be they get the 6th team if a pac-12 school makes the playoff and 5th if they don't. Either way Utah should not be available for them to pick but might be.I think it is the 4th or 5th ranked pac12 team that is supposed to go to Vegas. Im not sure at all though, just seems like I heard that somewhere
I talk a lot of **** most of the year. But I generally avoid the week of the game. It's just not any fun that week. Too many people take it way too serious/ too far that week. The local media is all over it because it would be a 3 week feeding frenzy and make their job easier. 6th. There is little to gain for going to that bowl, last year we killed Colorado State but it did nothing as we came into this season unranked.
Going to Vegas and facing BYU would be a punch in the groin to every Ute involved, i would rather be in the freaking cactus bowl.
a seventh rounder? Sure. Their punter almost cost them the Patriots game. He had like 3 <40 yard punts in the 1st half, In mile high stadium where you should be kicking it farther. And they were kicking out of his own damn red zone. 2 of them didn't pass the 50 yard line and the other one barely did.Would you want the broncos to use a draft pick on him? Like their last one? I think he is a good enough weapon that you draft him and dont wait to try to get him after the draft.
I was at a party last night full of big time season ticket holding u of u graduate ute fans and the consensus seemed to be that he wouldn't even play in the nfl because no one does rugby style punting in the nfl.a seventh rounder? Hard to imagine an NFL team would pass him up for this reason. Punting style is completely irrelevant. All that matters is the result.I was at a party last night full of big time season ticket holding u of u graduate ute fans and the consensus seemed to be that he wouldn't even play in the nfl because no one does rugby style punting in the nfl.
I think he is so good at it that someone will take him and start a new thing on the nfl (rugby style punting)
Hey I agree. I kept saying that he is simply too good to not play on Sundays. The hardcore ute fans were skeptical of thatHard to imagine an NFL team would pass him up for this reason. Punting style is completely irrelevant. All that matters is the result.
he doesn't always rugby style though. His punts where he stays in the "pocket" Holds the ball and boots the **** out of it are just as impressive as the Bootleg style punts. I'm not sure if they will or not but they absolutely should. He's far better than the Broncos kicker. How that guy still has a job punting in the NFL is baffling.I was at a party last night full of big time season ticket holding u of u graduate ute fans and the consensus seemed to be that he wouldn't even play in the nfl because no one does rugby style punting in the nfl.

Good to hear. Imo he should be guaranteed to find a spot in the nflhe doesn't always rugby style though.
