I would also say that if the game wouldn't have started that way that my team would have played it differently (not taken their foot off the gas, and not played so conservatively) and still would have won. Especially considering the recent domination by the utes.

I would much much rather win that game the way utah did than lose it the way byu did. 100 times out of 100

Obviously it's possible for BYU to win a game vs Utah here sooner or later. However, as much of a homer as Green is (and he really, really is), he actually lays out a pretty compelling case as to why BYU will struggle to have this year be the year they finally break through.

Btw, I think its fair for Ute fans to puff their chest out a little bit and basically take a "I'll believe it when I see it" approach when it comes to losing to BYU. Every year we're forced to hear "This is the year" drivel from BYU fan and every year after Utah beats them yet again, we're forced to listen to all the "Yeah, buts..." from a zombie headed fanbase that's NEVER lost a game to Utah graciously.

Green really does lay out a great argument. I'm truly not expecting a BYU win this year. WAY too much inexperience in the coaching staff.
But, Utah will be breaking in a new QB (in arguably the midst important position on the field), so for him to say there is absolutely zero chance is absurd.

It's funny cause I see so many ute fans talking about how byu fans are always saying byu is the best and are going to be undefeated and are always such homers and apologists and whatnot.

Yet I never see those types of posts by actual byu fans on this site. Weird.
Instead I see posters like you and I giving the utes credit and often downplaying byu and being very realistic.
 
Yogi Roth picked Utah to win the south. So has Ted Miller from ESPN.

I can't wait to see our OL play. And our DL. They will be nasty. Lotulelei, Fitts both have early round potential. Dimick and Pita T has NFL potential. Maxs Tupai is on the depth chart as a true freshman and Chris Hart will be amazing.

I'll post more when I get on a computer.

Huh, I have honestly never been on there.

I go to a site called cougarfan but only for the newsfeed part of it. I don't do the message board part.

Maybe I will go take a look and lol about it.
