What's new

Official UofU homer thread

Due to all these injuries, it's going to be very interesting to see how Utah fares during the 2nd half of the season. After Oregon State (I expect Utah to win), the final 5 games are all potential losses. This is going to sound crazy, but due to the attrition at RB, Utah needs to become the team that chucks the ball all over the place. Troy Williams now has half a season under his belt and the WR spot is immensely talented(assuming Patrick is back). I'd love to see Utah turn Williams loose and put more in his plate.

And not to look ahead, but I think Utah could be Top 5 good next year. So many young playmakers making a mark this year that will be returning and Williams should only continue to get better.

I hope y'all don't take this as me talking ****, but I have always felt like the pac12 has the worst refs.
I don't even think that's a debate. The Pac-12 has the worst officials. They are pathetic. That first half was the worst football I've ever seen the Utes play. But when the officials let Arizona tackle receiver's on 5 occasions without calling PI I'm not sure how they were supposed to do much better.

As for the Utes they had at least 9 false start penalties and 8 in the first half. I hope the whole team got their asses handed to them at half time because that was ****ing pathetic.

As for the false start penalties...

This holds water since almost all of the false starts came in the 1st half

Wow big surprise another thing pac 12 refs suck *** at. If this is true then those refs were worse than I thought. Since I thought they were the worst official I have yet seen that is saying something. The non-safety, safety was kind of the all the proof needed to see that they had no idea what they were doing. Or throwing the flag for targeting when it was blatantly obvious that the defender hit the guy in the stomach and was not even close to his head. At least that one did not hold up.

that smoke ring. that was incredible

By the way, I STILL can't get over how big our video screen is now. I mean... wow. It's kind of ridiculously awesome. It's so big they can do replay on it and everyone in the stadium has a beautiful, huge up close view as to what happened. So amazing.

A couple of my best friends at the game Saturday night. (The one in the middle and the one next to him in the gray shirt)
