Official Utah State Aggies Football 2012 Thread

They went 10-2, beat Utah and lost to Wisconsin by just two points and at BYU by three. Who do you think is better?

Better season? Utah St by a mile.

Better Program? Utah by a million miles. It's retarded to even talk about. The deck is stacked.

Nice season for Utah St. Will be interesting to see if they can sustain the momentum of the last few seasons.

And yet they beat Utah this year.

The truth hurts.

Your post made me think of this.

The deck isn't as stacked as you think. This isn't the Utah State program of old. There's much more alumni money coming in, Andersen has seriously upgraded the recruiting, the coaching staff is rock solid (best OC in the state by a MILE), 2 more years of Chuckie Keeton (best in-state QB by a MILE), and momentum.

My guess is, BYU heads up to Logan next year and leaves with a loss. Utah had better be on their game when the Aggies come to SLC, or they will be staring at 2 straight losses to USU. Is Utah State the best program in the state right now? Obviously no, but Utah and BYU fans are foolish if they don't accept the fact that the gap is closing. If Gary Andersen is serious about staying at USU for the next few years, the momentum isn't going to stop.

The thing with Utah State is that they finally have depth and speed at the skilled positions. The loss of Kerwynn Williams will hurt, but Joe Hill will step right in and be the best RB in the state next year. The challenge for the Aggies will be the move to the MWC and the step up in competition, although the Ags would've handled most of the MWC teams this year.

It's cool USU is doing well, but I'll go on record that I think they just experienced the best season they will ever have.

Boise St. and SDSU leave the MWC next year. Who does that leave? Nevada? SJSU? Hawaii? CSU? New Mexico? UNLV? USU may be picked to win the league next year.

Game day!
Looking like a somewhat chili day here in Boise. Should be a good day and a good game.

Lets go Aggies!
