Offseason Random Twitter Comments about Jazz Players

i will give you that al is an elite low post scorer with an impressive repertoire of moves from the left low block.

i just wish his decision-making, passing and defense were all better... or, alternatively, that he'd take fewer shots so we could get paul and favors more involved in the offense.

I think we are both on the same page. And the sad part is, when he wants to pass, he is a good passer. I think Ty should ram the idea of passing out of doubles down his throat, and bench him if he doesn't.

Or, just bring him off the bench when the best defenders aren't out there and not bank on the idea that he'll suddenly get better at something after 8 years. eh?

I don't think a coach has ever pulled him for not passing, and it needs to happen.

I'm not exactly saying you're wrong, but you know you're at the end of your rope with a player when you lean on what coaching has (allegedly) never done for him. Naw, who am I kidding... you're wrong.

Has it ever been made an emphasis to him? It today's game many teams baby their players and don't hold the accountable. I think that would be the hardest part of coaching with today's entitled players.
I don't care if you bench him, polish his ego, etc. This team SHOULD be at the end of their rope with him if he can't adjust his game. Something needs to be done to get him to pass out of double teams. If he doesn't he takes away the whole flow of the offense. If he won't change, trade him.

There is the Cy we all know and love.

Sorry stoked and NAOS, gotta side with my boy Cy here. His 'black-hole' reputation is being completely blown out of proportion. He has kicked it out respectively, especially in contrast to previous seasons. I understand complaints about his defense, but passing? He doesn't need to average 4APG for us to be a contender. Yes, Millsap is the better passer. So? I personally am perfectly fine with Al's assist totals, and passing skills. What I am NOT okay with is how many possessions he gets per game. But guess what?

A) that's on Ty Corbin, not Al
B) Al has proven that he is perfectly fine with other players receiving possessions that he normally would get, even to the extent where he voluntarily told Ty to draw up a play for Sap in our game against OKC last season.

People who complain about how one-dimensional our offense is should be complaining about the coaching staff, not the player
