What's new

Ojeleye/Jazz article.

I'd love it. He's now the guy I'm hoping for at #24. Think he's more DeMarre Carroll than Derrick Favors. Ideally, they can get Ojeley at #24 and Jordan Bell at #30. Two physically solid defensive guys who can hustle, switch and play versatile basketball. Then package #42, #55 and cash to chase a high upside guy who slips.

I want him, Frank Jackson, Kuzma, and that tall Eurocenter who looked quick as hell in that workout a couple weeks back. Ptzeniks or something. It ain't happening but those guys and Bell are five dudes I love. But yeah, if we got those four, I'd *******. Would get the pg with huge upside to push Exum and act as insurance should Hill leave and Exum not pan out. Would give us a versatile, tough wing who could maybe be a 3 and d guy and surely add athleticism and toughness. Would give us the long stretch 4 we need in Kuzma. And would give us a legit backup/stretch 5 in the Euro dude. A bit of everything.

There is no way we get those 4 players the picks at our spots. Based on what I have read, 3 of them should be gone by the 35th pick. Kuzma, OJ-in-your-eye, and Anzejs Pasecniks. Franky J should be gone by the 45th pick. Bell is probably gone by the 45th pick as well.

So, that's not a likely scenario.

My short list of reasonable players I would be happy with includes several of the guys you mentioned:

24th pick:
OJ-In-ur-eye
Harry Giles
Kuzma
Ike Anigeturgun

30th pick:
Juwan Evans
Bam
Justin Jackson
Anzejs Pasecniks
Swanigan
Iwundu
Hartenstein

Really, I think we can go in a LOT of directions. My top two favorite choices for the first round are OJ and Giles (if he falls). Ike has crazy measurables. Kuzma killed it at the combine. That is my reasonable short list for the 24th and 30th picks.
