The pick, fer shur... but if we make the playoffs, it's a no-brainer.

San Antonio has absolutely owned us this season. Out of 4 games we squeaked out 1 win, at home, with their 3 best players not even in the state.

San Antonio knows how to win the big games, whereas OKC has only proven that they can win in the regular season with their current roster, so I'd rather play OKC. As for keeping our draft pick, for me that depends on the Golden State pick. Either way we owe a pick to the TWolves. If we get the Warriors pick this year then I am very comfortable giving our own this year so we can keep ours next year even if it is a slightly worse pick. We would still bring in a high potential pick this year to add to our core and add another piece a year later after some of our current contracts expire. It spreads out the youth and still gives us talent. However, if we don't get the Warriors pick this year, then I want ours since this looks like a talent-rich draft class.

I'd take San Antonio, even though they've thrashed us in the regular season, because all it would take to eliminate the Spurs would be a well-timed knee to the thigh of Tony Parker. Without him, we'd take the series in 6 against a Parker-less Spurs team.

Against OKC we would have to hope they don't hit all those wide-open 3s we give up all the time. IMO, there's no way Westbrook and Durant miss 6-7 of the 10 wide-open 3s we give up every single game.

But, in the end, as much as I hate to admit... I wouldn't be completely torn up with ending up the 9th or 10th seed in the West and getting the 13-14th pick...

ughhh, I HATE missing the playoffs! 2 extra months of NOTHING to watch on TV but stupid baseball!

I say its San Antonio because if you play smart you should be able to beat them. The Jazz are longer and more athletic. OKC would be tough because they play smart and are superior when it comes to the talent dept. I know SA will be tough too but OKC will be tougher. Plus you seen SA get upset last year by a younger team.

On a side note. Celebrate with me my sweet 1600 th post.

keyword being smart.
how do you expect Corbin to outsmart popovich

Playoffs all the way! I never want Utah to be a lottery regular like the Clippers, Warriors, and Kings. Once you think let's lose and get more lottery picks, it is the wrong mentality. I think Utah would have a stronger showing against OKC so that is how I voted, but Spurs or Thunder is good for me.

Too bad the Jazz are going to play what amounts to 5 elimination games in a row just to get into the playoffs and then get beat. I believe Jazz would play the spurs more closely, but have a higher likley hood of being swept. Jazz could get absolutley blown out in a game against OKC, but have hope to steal a game in the series, maybe two if they are lucky.

We barely managed to beat SA at home without Duncan, Manu, or Parker, and yet some of you STILL would rather play them?
