Nearly 20,000 emails sent and received by Democratic National Committee staff members were released Friday by Wikileaks, and some messages are raising questions about the committee's impartiality during the Democratic primary.One email appears to show DNC staffers asking how they can reference Sanders' faith to weaken him in the eyes of Southern voters. Another seems to depict an attorney advising the committee on how to defend Clinton against an accusation by the Sanders campaign of not living up to a joint fundraising agreement.

The revelation threatened to shatter the uneasy peace between the Clinton and Sanders camps and supporters days before the Democratic convention kicks off next week.
The leaks, from January 2015 to May 2016, feature Democratic staffers debating everything from how to deal with challenging media requests to coordinating the committee's message with other powerful interests in Washington.
The emails were leaked from the accounts of seven DNC officials, Wikileaks said. CNN has not independently established the emails' authenticity.
One email features DNC staffers appearing to ponder ways to undercut Sanders, an insurgent Democrat who had a bitter relationship with party leadership. Sanders supporters charged that the DNC was biased toward Clinton, and Sanders late in the primary endorsed DNC chair Debbie Wassserman Schultz's primary opponent in her Florida congressional race.

They were going to try to out Sanders as an atheist going into the southern primaries. The guy says his peeps can handle a Jew, but an atheist might be a different story.
 
I didn't truly mourn the end of Bernie until I sat back and watched the RNC. We're all ****ed, dudes. Bern probably could have helped a little bit.

I'm not bothered by these emails. People float ideas, good and bad. Since this wasn't a tactic they used, who cares if a few people discussed it. Think of your own business meetings. Would you want your entire company blamed for the stupid ideas that no one took seriously?

Real question for folks: Would you vote for someone who was openly an atheist?
