What's new

One more though with the core 5

Yesterday Kanter has been benched early in the 4th after an unfair technical foul.

He wasn't doing anything wrong neither...10 points and 5 rebounds in just 13 min!

Ya kanter is gettin screwed the hardest this season for sure.

He goes to kentucky and never gets to play a single game

He plays for turkey national team a few summers agao and outplays sorry *** vets but still gets shafted for minutes.

He gets on the jazz and us constantly passed over for playing time by millsap, jefferson, favors, and marvin despite working his but off and going from a 290 overweight guy who can't jump at all that never even attempts a jumpshot to a much more athletic in shape player with a great outside jumper

I just saw a post on SLC Dunk that Corbin gives more minutes to player under 23 than anyone, and is top 3 in minutes to players under 25.

The jazz are playing their young guys a lot of minutes.

Why should we care if Kanter doesn't re-sign? Minnesota fans have gotten over Derrick Williams. Sacramento fans have gotten over Tyreke. Maybe you catch up to speed?

Make the right comparisons...it means comparing him with other top10 draft pick big men!

Toronto didn't dumb on Valanciunas. Bucks didn't dumb on Sanders. Detroit didn't dumb on Drummond. Bobcast didn't dumb on Biyombo.

Kanter is averaging more points than almost all these players.

You forgot that even the referees don't respect him.

I arrived to the conclusion that he is too well-mannered and respectful and everyone take advantage of it.

He has to assert himself if he wants to be successful in Nba!

Speaking of big men. Bleacher Report (I mentioned bleacher report!!!?!?!?@11212 OF WITH MY HEAD!!! bunch'o nancies) has Utah taking Joel Embiid. Can you imagine having our big roatation be Embiid/Gobert at C and Favors/Kanter at PF? Oh man that is just hot.

I want to see Kanter just be nasty on the court. Not out right dirty but out right physical and mean.

More people living in alaska have to deal with snow than the people in southern california

No way that Kanter will resign with the Jazz after such kind of treatment.

I expect an uncaring attitude from him until the end of the season, hoping that they will trade him.

In spite of everything he is averaging good numbers....find me another big man in the league with 11pts and 6 reb coming off the bench playing no more than 25 min.

The worst thing is that he is not involved in the crucial moments of the game.

Turns our there are 8 players in that range over the last two seasons. Note I figure that coming off the bench or starting was a moot point at 26 minutes per game or less.

In all fairness look at the % of players on his team under 23. Favors, Gobert, Kanter, Burks, Burke, Hayward, Garrett and Clark. That is over (8 out of 14) half the team and 3 starters and 3 of the 4 primary back ups.

Corbin has no choice but to play them.

That is why I posted this

With 6 out of 14 players over 25 (and healthy) (that 43% of the personnel), on an 8-person rotation, Corbin could give the vets as much as 75% of the minutes, if playing veterans was a priority for him. Instead, it's 29% of the playing time. Corbin has a choice, and he's choosing to play the younger players.

He could and that might be a viable option if all of those vets were of the same talent and ability as the youth. or event he vets on other teams. Biedrins, Lucas, Williams, Jefferson, Evans...are not of the quality of our youth or event he quality of over age 23 players on other teams. 2-3 of those players are lucky to even be in the NBA.

So again Corbin was, realistically, left with no choice.

He is not playing gobert

Or clark and Kanter is being shafted. Hard.

Right now, Favors, Kanter, and Gobert all play the same position. I'm very hopeful that one or two them will be able to play PF for good stretches of the game, hopefully by February, but so far this year they are not. Gobert is getting minutes in the D-League, and will probably be our backup next year.

Same for Hayward/Burks/Clark, they all play the same position.
