What's new

One of the most embarrassing performances..

Or, we can all agree to say screw a 4 day time off right after All Star break. Give me a game tonight, damnit!

We shot 44% from the field, 24% from 3 on 29 attempts, turned the ball over 22 times, gave up more FT attempts than we took even though we were at home, and our leading scorer had an off game..... And we still only lost by 11 points to one of the best teams in the NBA and we were in striking distance to win throughout the whole game. I wouldn't call that embarrassing. A little frustrating and disappointing, but not embarrassing.

At least Hood went 5-14 tonight for a game leading -20. That's the Hood we know

I think that’s his 4th or so game in a row with poor shooting for the cavs. I think he has only had one good shooting game and one ok shooting game and the rest have been poor shooting games.

Like you said, the hood we know.

You'll have to explain that one.

The post you quoted said that the reason we lost this game is because we didn’t blitz McCollum and Lillard on the pick n roll.

You misread the post I quoted. He's saying Utah was successful defending McCollum and Lillard but went away from the tactic in this game [against Houston].

On the NBA Show Ringer podcast, Bill Simmons had Haralabob Voulgaris on and the Jazz came up. He specifically mentioned this game [Houston] and hammered Quin for it. Said that the Jazz were able to be successful defensively by switching their defense to blitz McCollum and Lillard's PNR on the game in Portland before the break, and questioned why they went away from it for the game in Utah.

Looks to me like they are saying that the jazz blitzed mccollum and lillard for the game played in portland and it worked great.... Then they played portland in utah and didn't blitz mccollum and lillard and it didn't work. They beat portland recently in portland and lost to portland recently in utah so it would make sense to read it that way.

Ah, gotcha now. Thanks.
