Orlando fire sale?

Anderson isn't going anywhere. He's more than affordable + he's a perfect fit with Dwight.

end of story

Orlando is basically praying NJ wins the lottery. Howard's not staying so the new GM is going to have to figure out how to move him. Very rough job considering Howard's short list of teams.

I think Ryan Anderson will be available because I don't think Dwight is staying. Cleveland tried this exact tactic as a last resort to keep Lebron and it obviously didn't work. Dwight is going to end up somewhere else and then it's going to become firesale time in Orlando.

I would love to see Anderson in Utah and I bet KOC is keeping a close eye on that situation....

But what would it cost to get Anderson? Why would they be in a hurry to trade a guy that young/on his rookie contract? If it's even possible, and considering the logjam of bigs that the Jazz have, what would they want in a package be close to worth it?

Exactly. Nothing. We don't need him badly enough to be willing to trade what the Magic would be giving up.

Agreed. Even assuming Big Al traded, a frontcourt with Favors/Millsap/Kanter/Anderson wouldn't be best for the Jazz because Anderson will demand starting 30+ mins. Plus, I think he is kinda overrated, -I watched 50+ Orlando games this year-.

My guess is they'll pursue a Howard/Bynum swap. In that scenario, I could almost see a Howard/Anderson -- Pau/Bynum swap. But the big sticking point would be Turkoglu. Orlando wouldn't take back Metta so the Lakers would have to bite that bullet.

Anderson is an RFA after next season - he's not going anywhere right now

Down the road he may end up having to be sacrificed to keep Howard and bring in another impact player (e.g. Williams).

I can see someone overpaying for Anderson - maybe Dallas or Portland. With Utah's cap space after next year I would call him a consolation prize.

I think Anderson will be payed fairly. I mean, I think teams are aware that a lot of his numbers are a product of the system the Magic run along with being the perfect compliment to Dwight. Him having a terrible playoff performance shows that he relies heavily on the way he compliments Howard.

If he managed to put up the same #'s in the playoffs he did in the regular season, he might have gotten an extra couple million per year, but he didn't.

Ugggh, as I say all this I don't even really want him all the much. I do think alongside Favors or Kanter he could be a good compliment.

Why? 3's are not part of our .. 'system.'
