What's new

Orrin Hatch writes about a meeting that actually hadn't happened yet

Totally changing directions here, but don't most phones have fingerprint scanners now?

Vote on your phone using your fingerprint. Boom. There is still kinks and fraud is still possible, but it's better than now.

This idea is actually interesting. How long before a phone controls our entire life?

I mean, is there anyone here who can honestly say they did not think less of Obama(however little you might have thought of him before) when his views on gay marriage "evolved" exactly when it became politically convenient?
I can. My own views changed on gay marriage over time. I prefer someone who can admit that their minds have been changed on social issues instead of clinging to outdated notions just because that is what they used to believe. One would hope our leaders grow and evolve.

I agree but I think the key phrase in this case is "politically convenient". Makes it look like false growth and hypocritical.

I can see that, but many people's opinions changed during the time that was "politically convenient" and I'm glad he didn't choose to wait until a later time just to avoid that.

Fair enough. Personally I wasn't really bothered by it beyond confirmation that he was a politician and really not hope and change.
