Well this definitely displays your ignorance on full blast. As I said, hip-hop is the most diverse musical genre (both instrumentally and topically) known in the recording era. If you think all rap music is just what you posted above, then you are ignorant. Ignorance can manifest itself in low IQ and racism.

And I'm sure you probably just don't care. I'm not asking you to research and listen to every movement within hip-hop in an effort to convert you, but if you want to not appear ignorant I wouldn't throw around the talking points you did in that post because they are just flat out objectively wrong.

U don't get it. Lemme try and explain - those things you have listed are just a vehicle, a persona, for many to make careers and make simple formulaic hit songs etc. So when you have someone like 50 cent who verifiable is a goon of that status, it's a recipe for a bit of a folk legend and bottom line; explosive sales..

To pigeon hole those characteristics to rap though is flawed because there's many artists who don't represent that gimmick/persona whatsoever. Some of the biggest newer rappers out these days don't glorify that lifestyle at all, Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino for example have found their niche making soulful music. There's actually incredible variance within the genre.

Its okay not to like genre of music, but to generalize an entire genre into a very simplistic and incorrect statement is wrong. It is equally wrong to say people who dont think its art are either racist or dumb.

The genre of rap has effected all music in the world. Any genre of music that you like has had positive effects from the rap genre. I dont personally like most country music but I understand why others do and understand its effect on our culture and other music. I also dont listen to that much rap but I like some of it and dislike plenty of it. I understand its had a huge effect for the good on music in general and there are fantastic and talented artists who create rap and influence many people with it.

'Good' rap music is simpler to make than most forms of music tho for damn sure. If you put a gun to my head I'm sure I could write a catchy rap album in 24 hours given HOT BEATS.


The right beat or hook is basically like an alley oop for a hot song.. in other genre's it can't be that easy.


See Rae Sremmurd ----- the other dude (not swae lee) spits generic 6/10 verses nonstop but because of the beats and Swae Lee it's hit after hit after hit..

It was fun watching Rudy get his 10th board, and how the crowd was cheering hard when he got it.

If the man wants to be selfish with rebounds, by all means, let him do so. Unless he has an epidemic of losing rebounds because he's knocking his teammates out of the way, I see no downside to a guy wanting to grab every board he can.

Major LOL to all those "Why did we get Hill and not Teague in that deal" looking real stupid.

Hill completely turned this team from borderline playoffs to potential a top-5 team in the league. He was definitely the missing piece we needed.

Hayward is so damn efficient. 27 points on 13 shots is amazing. He's getting to the free throw line a lot and is becoming that guy.

Gobert just brings it each and every night. He is good for a double-double every night and it seems like he never has an off night because of it.

We seriously have a legit big three and if we keep playing like this a top-3 seed is in our sights.

I don't want to overreact but it seems like we're playing better without Hood. We are obviously a better team when he is shooting well but right now we are clicking.

Neto and Diaw are horrible.

Lyles has been struggling shooting the ball but he always ends up with the highest +- it's crazy.

Exam should be playing over Neto.

Burks looked amazing and was really in a groove tonight. Made me happy to seem him back to his old ways. He will be the instant offense we need off the bench.

Hood should be the super 6th man on this team. Honestly, if Favors would accept that role and JJ could be moved to the starting lineup, a 2nd unit of Favors/Lyles/Burks/Hood/Whatever Backup PG flavor of the month would be fantastic.
