Paid subscription to JazzFanz without ads?

@Jason have you looked in to the possiblity for posters to pay something in order to remove ads? Most of the time the ads don't bother me, but sometimes they are really frustrating as they disrupt normal navigation and posting.

I typically don't like paying for things that I can get for free, and I'm not sure what I would be willing to pay, but I would definitely be interested in the option. I spend enough of my life on this site that it would make it so much better to have it add free

If it was a one time support payment I could see myself doing it, but I wouldnt do a monthly payment thing. Like a one time payment of 10 dollars.

You can upgrade to a lifetime membership for $40 but don't know if that gives you no ads

I've always believed in minimal ads and you'd probably (or not) be surprised how more intrusive some of these companies want to make them. We're talking pop-ups, video with sound and ads that take the entire screen on page load ... and more. Always have to turn that crap off.

Haven't really thought about any sort of subscription necessarily. From time to time, those with the lifetime membership have had fewer ads but it's varied over the years as we've changed providers.

All that said, if there's something extremely obnoxious, let me know. Always looking to balance that experience.

I think you do a great job, and I won't ever complain about a free service. It's only once in awhile that Ads are super annoying. I'll try and be better at pointing them out in the future. I haven't so far because I don't want to appear like I'm complaining.

I just use Ad Block Plus. It is free and very effective and minimally instrusive.

Jason if you had a recurring donation button option I would use that. I would absolutely drop $50 per year or something. Just a thought. But with it more manual I don't think about it regularly.

As a "Contributor" I usually browse with blocked ads, but in Jazz dark days I'll turn it off to keep the lights on in places like this.
