What's new

Paul Millsap on the trading block

his "struggles" are being wildly over-stated. He's averaging a career-high in assists; he's 0.1 points off his career-high in scoring. Percentages are slightly off as he adjusts to a new starting point guard, new non-stretchy center, etc. Gimme a break with this ****. Also, his turnovers continue to drop.

how many different times have you survived a suffocation which resulted in mild brain damage?
Really dude? Having to resort to insults? clearly you take things too personal. We don't want him back he doesn't fit our brand of ball now, thankful for his contributions in the past but his game has fallen off. Guess you still wear your Millsap Jersey to bed that explains you being overly sensitive

Several incidents, apparently. Is that what the 32 in your handle means?

So people really think millsap isn't awesome huh?

The dude is great. The question here is would he be enough to take us to competition for a title, or just to secure the four seed?

He'd be just as interested in signing here in free agency as he would anywhere that will pony up the coin, so trading for him shouldnt be something we go all in on. Trade some small assets if we must, but keep the others to add positions of need.

The key here is for the Jazz to not make any moves. Just hold steady to the end of the season and see who we have left. We cant take any chances. That gets you no where. If we just keep adding players from the middle of the draft and do nothing else, it will eventually payoff. I have a good feeling about this process.

This.
Imo millsap makes the team better. But still not to the level of the top 3 teams. I love millsap (first jazz jersey i ever bought and still have it in my closet so it would be cool to break it out if he came back) but if we get him now then he is a free agent at the end of the season along with hill and hayward. Cant afford all three (i dont think so anyway)

Would be fun for the half year we would have him though. I would give up exum and some junk (withey/2nd rounders/neto/etc) for what would be a fun second half of the season.

the price is super high thse next few drafts are all talent laden. Utah needs to keep a bunch of picks as a security measure for cap hell...

Theyre about to go from am $80MM roster to a $100+MM starting 5.. Millsap would cause all sorts of issues if he's added to the equation..

Stacking picks has done nothing for Boston. I'd give up a first rounder for him. I'd very likely move Exum for him but I'm pretty down on him. Can't keep and develop all these picks. The biggest thing to me is showing Hayward we are effing serious.

YEP. ALSO, THIS YEAR COUNTS. AT SOME POINT, WE HAVE TO STOP LOOKING AT THIS LIKE WE'RE STILL REBUILDING.

ANYONE REMEMBER HOW MILLSAP PLAYED UNDER QUIN AND WITH HAYWARD (AND MACK, AND FAVORS) ALREADY?

Those that think we can just wait until 2017 to snap him up for nothing better pay attention to the Korver trade. Hint, he won't last that long.
