What's new

Peggy Lee said it best.... today, 4/11 @ 6 PM MTN

Well, I enjoyed it. Can't remember a game we shot 55 percent. The D played its good fundamentals style effectively. CJ finally played well. Hayward had one very solid drive I liked on the baseline. Both those guys made nice passes to facilitate the offense. Harris played OK, but he's still a third wing at this point. Favors had a rookie game, but he always does at least one wow thing and that move under the basket to dunk it was nice. So there was some stuff to see.

Favors didn't really even play very well and still the more i see of him the more i like the d-will trade. Like billy said you can count on at least one amazing dunk or awesome block (like the one on gray when he was going for a dunk and favors stuffed him at the rim) per game.

Hayward had a couple of nice drives where he was able to absorb the bump and still get to the hoop. Favors had the one move, but he also had a couple of very nice blocks. Even Jefferson played better defensively.
Nice game all around. But I do find it kind of strange the Jazz shot so well, but didn't even score 100.

I thought Favors played very well. Very active on defense even though he didn't put up great numbers.

And they didn't bother to run any plays for him except one where he had a highlight reel dunk.

I think The Jazz quietly gave Elson his going away present tonight. The guy looks shot - there's obviously something wrong with his knee. My guess is this is his last stop in the NBA.

When you take the majority of your shots with <5 seconds left on the shot clock, it's tough to rack up a lot of points.

The old Sloan theory slow it down and keep the crowd out of the game on the road and run like crazy and get the crowd involved at home.

Well, I'm glad the Jazz won. Because even though I realize my wonderful game thread doesn't get credit for the win, I'm glad I don't have to worry about it getting blamed for a loss.
