Pissed at people

Loving this offseason (so far) still would like to see a trade or two, but if the team buys in and stays healthy we could make some noise.

Can someone clue me in to why Dr. PKM is so sensitive? Is it just a role he plays here on the board or do those folks that know him in real life see him act the same way?

Don't take it from me, Dr. Jones is pretty sure I hate him, but I think he's just honestly excited about what the Jazz have done (as am I) and wondering why anyone would be a stupid little prick about it.

In real life, in the extremely limited time that I saw him he was chill as ****.

great off season so far. my expectation is getting higher!!

Both moves were incredible in my opinion. My favorite lineup didn't have a point guard in it last year. I liked the Burks, Hayward, and Hood point guard committee. I think we are top 4 in the west as constructed, and have as versatile a team as there is. If Exum comes along offensively as expected, we can challenge anyone. If Lyles comes back more disciplined defensively and Favors isn't affected by back issues the sky is the limit. We were already getting a lot better just having Exum, Burks, and a fresh Gobert coming back. Having JJ changes my opinion of the Jazz ability to win close games. With the team they've put together, there will be fewer close games. The Jazz are going to be really, really, good. The injury thing should balance out this year, so I'm thinking less than 25 player games lost to injury. Also, I don't drink.

Nobody was trading picks for next year in exchange for picks next year. Nobody. Fortunately we have 6 picks already next year because DL prepared correctly. He did as well as he possibly could have, staying within the plan.

??? The Suns, Celtics and Blazers all traded future picks. I didn't say the picks received had to be next year, just that it would be nice if they were since we have so much ammo for that draft already.

Fairly certain that we are not going to be adding six players to the team next year. A percentage of those seconds are going to be converted to future seconds. A second round pick next year will be far more valuable than a second round pick this year. Sometimes people just aren't buying what you are selling and the asset gets burned. Most second round picks actually turn out this way.

People are flooding the Grizzlies with phone calls trying to pick up Mike Conley, I'm sure.

Maxing Mike Conley is a whole different thing than maxing Hayward. How many teams other than the Grizzlies would have maxed Mike Conley? I'm very certain Hayward would have received numerous max offers were he available. Even then, Conley is still tradable at his numbers as long as he doesn't lay an egg.

Again, this situation is exactly analogous to the James Harden situation. How did letting a star go for almost nothing work out for them? They ended up having to give Kanter the money they tried to save by sending him away.

It's not the same to the Harden situation at all. For all of Harden's faults on defense he is an elite scorer. A true star, someone who can takeover a game. And the Thunder were a contender with or without him because they had two other stars on their team at the time he left.

Hayward, as good as he is, isn't elite at anything. He's not the type to take over games. He's very good, but not a star. We aren't a contender with him or without him as it stands right now. Very different situations.

And I'm not saying let him walk for nothing. I'm saying make a move before it's too late.
