What's new

Pistons@Jazz 3/12/12

Harris had a very good game, and the team rose up in the 4th when the starters came back. Yea, those same guys every internet Jazz fan hates. 30-13 4th quarter. The game was 85-85 when the last of the bench players (besides CJ) left the floor. The final score was 105-90.

That squad everyone here hates so bad outscored the Pistons by 15 points in the last 5:43. They won the game.

I love how when any other guard gets blown by to the hoop it's Jefferson's fault but tonight it was all on Raja. Don't know that I've ever seen a sports forum so full of venom after a win either. It's not like this board is special though. RealGM is full of people who are pissed the Jazz won too.

Loved the desire from Jefferson and Harris. I'm so glad the team has players that want to win more than the fans do.

GREAT POST. I too am glad we have a real leader like Harris.
Also love how you make the 'internet fans' distinction. That really is key.
I came here expecting positive posts after a win, instead I see a bunch of negative nancies.
The guy above who says "Honestly, the negatives from tonight's game outweigh the positives" is obviously not a ticket-paying jazz fan.
Tell the thousands of fans who actually bought tickets to see the game and ask them if the negatives outweighed the positives.
some of you guys are pathetic. jazz won. thats why you play the game, to win. it's kind of a good thing. enjoy it you ingrates.

Boy do I love your spirit, but its hard to see the positives looking down the road.

Utah's playing all old vets that won't be on the Jazz roster for the 2013-14 season. There is no goal this year. If you think our goal is making the playoffs, we're at best an 8 seed, and at best 1-4 against the Thunder. We get no draft pick for our first round exit. "Playoff experience" for the young guys will most likely result in even more bench time than the regular season. There is no prize for "success" this year.

Even more unfortunate is that its looking like next year will be just another throw-away season as well.

So you don't think making the playoffs are a good thing. There is no prize for Corbin not making the playoffs. He wants to succeed at his new profession, and he can't do that if he loses.

I went to the Jazz game (ie. paid good $ for a ticket) and I am glad they got the win.......but

You can't tell me if Burks would have gotten Bells 27 minutes that a) the Jazz would have lost. Or b) Burks' would have had as terrible of a line as Bell.

In fact, had Burks played all of Bell's minutes, I believe this game isn't nearly as close as it was in the 4th, Stuckey doesn't look as dominant, and, most importantly, Corbin would have sent the message that HE is the coach and HE desides who plays, NOT a whinny bitch-*** player.

Sums up the night on this board.

You know...with all this negativity I still love Watson on this team. He's been letting Hayward get more touches on the offense and Hayward's been playing very well.

There's some positive energy from me if you need it.

Keep sharing, please. Much needed.

Favors looked great in this game. The 2 possessions in a row where he got the ball and scored was solid. Too bad he did not get more minutes a huge offensive game would do his confidence wonders.

Do you like it?

Maybe I'm just bitter because I live far away from SLC, and thus, don't get to go to games.

Then again, it could be worse. I could be in Kanab.

A win is a win, but in the end jazz gm are going to realize no one really cares about watching the jazz if they over play the vets. The vets are mediocre at best, but its time to insert some fresh blood into this team and actually make their minutes meaningful. Raja is getting on my nerves. I was fine when he bounced back from his slump and fought hard, but once he was injured he realized the danger losing his starting position. Next, he could've pull a "I have a family to feed" bs and force corbin to bend over and give him minutes. I don't know the full story, but raja comes off as a douche.
