I don't know about you, but this question sure made tonight's loss a lot easier to swallow for me. LOL..

Good reasoning. Not much difference between getting a late lottery and whatever pick will correlate to a playoff team with a record around .500. But since it's all or nothing, I prefer the lottery pick. Let's assume the GS pick is somewhere in the 8-10 range and Utah's is 13-14. If KOC wants to move up into the 5-6 range, that should be enough ammo. Or just stay put with both picks and probably acquire at worst, a starter and a solid backup. Add another starter via the Memo TPE and the Jazz would be in a great position going forward. If we were talking the 13th pick compared to the 16th, then I go with playoffs. Losing the pick altogether is a different story.
That pick is just one more asset to a team that could really use it.
I can see the Jazz absolutely sucking for the remainder of the season. March and April are brutal, a lot more away games where we've been downright bad. I wouldn't be surprised if we picked 7th and got Golden State's pick at 8 or
9.
At this point, I don't think the playoffs are even realistic.
I picked 23 wins at the start of the season and I'm thinking I was too optimistic.
