Because he's a good defender. I think it's smarter to go after the bad defenders and keep Klay off ball. The Rockets tried to go at Mitchell in Game 2 when he got in foul trouble and it really backfired on them.
 
Klay Thompson missing back to back FT's. Everything is going right for Houston. They need to build this lead while the Warriors are sucking

James Harden is the greatest foul drawer in NBA history! Playing at home in game 7.
 
Refs aren't falling for Harden's ********. Commentators very upset about it.

Again, they tried it against Utah and it was a big reason they lost game 2.

And it's Game 7, refs are going to want to call as little fouls as possible. We have seen them hold onto the whistle through some physical play in the 2nd quarter. Foul hunting doesnt work nearly as well in the playoffs. Harden can still draw fouls, but when he has gone to his "Im doing this thing just to get a foul" mode it usually doesnt work out well.

Making Curry work on defense is way more important IMO than trying, and probably failing, to get Thompson in further foul trouble.

Smfh. Are you high? This dubs team is complete garbage. They have 4-5 guys who know how to play basketball, take dumb shots like crazy, and are on the road.

They lose by double digits. Game is ****ing over.

He should have gone as Klay 4 straight possessions... And Its not just the fouls, you drive at Klay and Green overplays it because he knows Klay has 3 fouls ans Capela is open for that drop off we saw or an oop.

Opportunity has gone now anyway.

Just like Game 6. The Warriors dont try til the 3rd quarter.
