Competitive games.

Granted not every 8th or 7th seed will be able to beat their 1st or 2nd seed opponents in a series. But at least remain competitive. even the mid seeds are being blown out. Indy v Atlanta? Chicago v Brooklyn? Memphis v la? All hellishly awful blowouts. Houston blown out by 29? I get it, you won't beat okc in a series. But a 29 point blow out? Who is going to watch that? It's the playoffs not the pelicans!
I was pretty surprised by the blowouts. I though a number of games would be competitive. Chicago won tonight over Brooklyn. That's the first surprise.

exciting game. dang Chris Paul is clutch.

...yeah, he's clutch alright. Two FLAGRANT palming violations on his way to the basket for the winning shot! When you palm the ball like that, the defensive player has NO IDEA whatsoever whether the man has picked up his dribble!!! But that's today's NBA! Palm the ball with impunity, blow by your man to the basket......and lay it in or dunk it!

Yeah, and he was getting fouled the entire time on his way to the basket -- I think it was Allen guarding him and he was bodying up on him the whole time.

"That game sucked" - The Thriller

Actually, it didnt. It's good to finally see competitive basketball. I just wonder if this game would have been different had Rudy Gay been playing? Prince is basically a non-factor offensively.

No, I wouldn't say that. Paul did push off hard with his elbow to create space, maybe that is the contact you are referring to.

At least he didn't do this more than a few times during that game... stupid flopper.

...fouled on the way to the basket? The defensive clown didn't have a chance to foul him! He blew by him so fast after picking up his dribble and then hesitating, then dribbling again! Watch the replay again.

just watched it again, he didnt pick the ball up. in the nba today, you can basically put your hand underneath the ball, and its not a carry. Watch D Will highlights, he does it all the time. I think they could have gotten CP3 for pushing off, but the defender was making a lot of contact as well. I think the bad calls came earlier in the game, when Chris Paul was flopping, and they called Marc Gasol for a travel for doing the same thing Chris Paul does every time down the court and hesitating with the dribble a little bit. If the Clips win the series, its because Chris Paul and Blake Griffin get superstar calls, or non calls when they foul, and get away with things.

...I know they "do it all the time!" It's just not called. It's a palming violation EVERY TIME it's done but the refs turn the other way and never call it....unless it's so flagrant that they have no choice but to call it when the player who does it, gives the ball to the ref and says: "Yeah, I palmed the ball!"
