obviously not, but if OKC wins tomorrow then we’re locked into 6 no matter what
The other issue is that, from what I've seen, the Rockets may not want the #3 seed. They'd rather be lined up to play the Lakers in the 2nd round than the Clippers. At least, that's what their fans say.
If the Jazz lose to the Spurs, which I think they're planning to, then OKC can't take the 6 seed, even if they lose their remaining games. They'd be tied with us in the standings, and they'd win the tie-breaker to take the 5th seed.
Why would they want to win tomorrow?

Such an odd end to the season. But if it ends with the Nuggets, I think it gives us the best chance at watching more than one series so I like how it's going.

This is good news for my eyeballs. They’re vulnerable af this year, but too ugly to care about toppling.
Thunder keep their first-round draft pick this year if they finish in bottom 20 of NBA.
They can ensure at least a tie for that spot if they lose out. But if there's a tie, then they have to go through the coin-flip to see if they'll keep the pick.
If they don't keep the pick, it goes to Philly. Philly could have moved up to a loss-column tie with the Thunder today if the Sixers won. But that would have increased the odds of OKC keeping its pick (from 1/2 to 2/3 -- OKC will tie with Jazz for 20th spot if both lose out already; a Philly win would have produced a 3-way tie), and thus decreased the odds of Philly getting that pick.
Apparently Sixers rested key players down the stretch of a winnable game against Raptors today and allowed for a Raptor comeback win. Next-level tanking!
