Store Due Back this Tuesday

Sony plans to bring its PlayStation Store online on Tuesday, May 24, according to a report published on Thursday.

Gamasutra said it had obtained a memo that Jack Osomo, PSN content manager for Sony, wrote to its developer partners.

In the memo, Osomo revealed that the PlayStation Store, which houses the company's demos, its downloadable content packs, and its video rental services - should be online by May 24, barring unforeseen difficulties.

Hey this was post 3200 for me. Maybe I should start a lame thread reflecting on my first 3200 posts. That would be original and satisfying.

PlayStation Network is scheduled to undergo maintenance today, from about 8am until approximately 5pm Pacific time. During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process. While some users may experience difficulty signing in to PSN, the majority of consumers will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).

For those asking about the PlayStation Store, we’re still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month. Contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.

*sigh*, the rumor of the early store return was just that, a rumor. but of course sony didn't let people know that until now..

i think i'm done with sony..i don't care anymore

**** me, those guys take forever

I was probably gonna drop around 50$ in Rock Band songs if the store was up, because I just picked up the keyboard and the songs from RB3 were getting old.

And yes I know that rock band is so 3 years ago... but my aspirations of being a rock star, despite having no talent, need to be subdued.

You probably won't be able to buy the songs you want immediately. I hear they are going to have 2 releases a week to try to catch up to the current DLC.

Yeah, it felt like it wasn't much longer than the original... but the original wasn't a stand-alone $60 game. There is the co-op mode, which is a different campaign entirely, but I still wish the whole thing was longer. Hopefully there'll be some DLC levels that are free or at least not overly expensive.

You seem to be pretty knowledgeable about this stuff... do you know if the store will be up tomorrow?
