What's new

Please start Joe Ingles

Hayward turns the ball over way too much. It would just get really bad if u made him the pg.

Cmon now.

No he dont.

And it's a terrible argument. Go look at who the players are every year that lead the league in turnovers. It's always the best players. Turnovers are normally a sign of a good player. Turnovers arent good, but they are by product of good players trying to make things happen.

Hayward is more than capable of running the point guard. Will he turnover? Yes he will. But I'd bet anything he wouldn't lead the league. And again l, it wouldn't even matter unless it was some crazy number.

This would be my lineup.

PG - Hayward
SG - Burks
SF - Hood
PF - Favors
C - Gobert

I think Hayward is the best option out of all the wings to run the point. He is just flat out better than anyone else on both sides of the ball. He doesn't need to be a standard point either. Hood and Burks can share the duties. But I'd have him guard the point guard's though.

Having Hood and Hayward on the court with Burks would be best. He need shooters around him.

Also, have Favors shoot threes.

I don't hate it....

And as a matter of fact. I have been pushing the Hayward at point model for quite some time. I'd bet longer than anyone here.

I would give Burks 10 - 12 games or so to see if he can mesh with the starting unit, move the ball well enough and shoot 3s confidently. If he'll do those things, he has the best ability to push the pace, create for himself and score buckets. It's too early to say how effective he'll be this year.

I like Ingles as a ball mover and just a steady presence in our starting line-up. If he can shoot okay from the wing, even better. A line-up with Burks has more upside and probably more offense overall.

start all three

He claimed Hayward ingles are ball movers whereas burks and Burke are not.

Burks has been moving the ball as well as anyone so far this pre season (leading the team in assists iirc)

The only reason I'd ever be on board with this is to make the 2nd unit that much stronger. Ingles is terrible and his blind love he gets with some posters is worrisome. He is slower than my 4 year old, can't shoot and is an average or below average defender in my opinion.

Maybe I just don't see it but to me he is only on the team to make Dante feel more comfortable.

You're right, you need to go see an eye doctor.

Perhaps. I'm just personally not a fan of him. Hopefully he can turn me into a fan of him this year but I do think there are better options. And I still believe he is mainly on the team for the benefit of Dante, not for his all around talent level.

You want the Jazz to go from one of the worst assisting teams in the league to by far the worst?
