Political predictor

Yeah soem of the questions were stupid.

It asks if you liek cats or dogs more.

Apparently cats = liberal and dogs = conservative.

That one is actually pretty good for the purposes. Think about it, who is more likely to like cats? The people that live in nice range homes where dogs can roam freely or those paying 2000/month to live in crackhead apartment where dogs are not workable or even banned or similarly sized houses? Urban v. suburban? There is a political correlation there.

My brother is very conservative and he likes cats. They are independent and more seff sufficent than dogs.

You shouldn't have beaten him up so much growing up. Dude would have had a big Siberian Husky boss of a dog that goes away from home for 3 weeks at time on exploration missions in 0 degree temps and eats cats to survive if you didn't.

He lives in vegas and runs the Cheesecake factory on the strip...

You're 68% conservative, 32% liberal.

Not really a surprise. It just so happens that I am most vocal about certain liberal views.

This was mine exactly. Weird.

I find it interesting that they would peg a pet and art as conservative. I have never been to New York and I would love to visit Times Square just to be there once, so if I had to choose, I pick TS. On my next visit it might be different. I picked dogs because my family has strong allergies to cats and we simply have never and will never own one.

Part of the results lies in the definitions. On the question about teaching kids to respect authority, I thought about my own kids and I slightly agreed that they need to learn to respect authority. I also have actively taught them to question authority and think for themselves, but they have to learn that policemen and firemen and government officials need to be given some level of respect. Does that mean to be liberal you have to teach your kids to never do anything anyone in authority says? So when my kid gets pulled over for running a red light he should jump out of his car and stage a sit-in in the middle of the freeway, or else we are severely conservative? Or something.

Anyway, it was pretty interesting. I will go through this with my kids and talk about it. Will be fun.
