The many comments from management/coaching about their commitment to re-identify as a franchise known for player development can only lead us as fans to believe that Trey is going nowhere soon. I think that's a good thing, personally. I don't want to see him traded-- I'm optimistic he'll make a significant leap this year... although, I'll gladly eat my words when/if he doesn't. What confuses me is why-- if he does suddenly turn into a really good backup PG and increases his value as a player-- so many on this board think of him only as more trade-able. His performance has fallen short of expectations, and now we're hoping he begins to meet them... so we can see him traded? Trade him for what, exactly? Another backup PG? Why would you not want to have a really good, willing (it appears) backup PG who knows the system and has done nothing to make us believe he's unhappy here?
