What would you prefer the Jazz do with Trey Burke?

I don't think Cotton or Neto are any better (yet), and his trade value is essentially zero, so I say we keep him.

Many players take a significant step from year 2 to year 3. Let's see if he takes that step. Maybe he can become a reliable backup or a better trade asset.

Keep him until the deadline. If we're in the playoff hunt and he's contributing, he stays. If he sucks, he goes.

I havent voted yet but im leaning towards trading him so Cotton and Neto gets the minutes. I just think Burke is too slow, small, and a bad defensive player. Although it would be nice if his trade value goes up. I wanted the Jazz to either move up in that draft so they could get Burke or stay where they were and draft Giannis Antetokounmpo. I thought Burke had better point guard skills then what he has displayed in his two years.

The many comments from management/coaching about their commitment to re-identify as a franchise known for player development can only lead us as fans to believe that Trey is going nowhere soon. I think that's a good thing, personally. I don't want to see him traded-- I'm optimistic he'll make a significant leap this year... although, I'll gladly eat my words when/if he doesn't. What confuses me is why-- if he does suddenly turn into a really good backup PG and increases his value as a player-- so many on this board think of him only as more trade-able. His performance has fallen short of expectations, and now we're hoping he begins to meet them... so we can see him traded? Trade him for what, exactly? Another backup PG? Why would you not want to have a really good, willing (it appears) backup PG who knows the system and has done nothing to make us believe he's unhappy here?

Once he can get use to his new role and take a better shot selection, he'll be a nice player to have.

He was still having those brutal shooting nights even coming off the bench. He is just slow. Slow bringing the ball up, slow turning the corner, it was fine on a college shot clock but isn't working in the NBA. Bryce Cotton isn't our savior, but he does get us into the offense with 18-20 seconds left on the shot clock.

Might as well trade him for nothing if you get back Embiid. He's going to miss a 2nd season. And reports were that he was fat and slow now, If he's not I'd consider it though.

If you can get a late first out of Burke I think you take it. He's unlikely to ever have more value than that as a backup PG for Utah. If it's a 2nd just play it out and see if he improves. If he sucks or becomes a problem you can probably always get a 2nd for him. If he becomes a real problem just release him.
