What do to with Hayward to build his confidence

I didn't see a place to vote for drafting Kawai Leonard to play SF and move Hayward to SG. But that is my vote.

I actually thought about that, or someone like Singleton? Singleton can shoot the 3pt and is a lock down defender.

I think there were a lot of disagreements in the war room when our 12th pick came up, do we go the Singleton/Leonard route or do we go Burks? KOC commented later on along the line of "there were a lot of disagreements, but in the end you can't undo scouts' work throughout the year and you have to stick to the Draft Best Player available mantra".

I guess he wanted to avoid the Darko/Wade scenario.

He's been playing out of position all season IMO. He's a SG. He matches up much better with SG. Defensively, he's just not strong/physical/big enough to guard SF (remember him trying to guard Odom?). Offensively it's just harder for him to drive around wider bodies and shoot over taller bodies.

I know they wanted to play him at SF so that when Burks is ready they can play Hayward and Burks together. But round balls just don't fit into a square hole and you risk traumatizing and damaging this boy physically and mentally forever.

I'm serious.

Oh god. It's the return of HotNICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK randomly bolding words.

Nice to see the results of this poll. Clearly, this board is only half as stupid as I thought.

Only when I'm serious.

BTW do you keep a cue card on each posters or something? That or you've got a pretty good memory.

He may be a total bust; he may turn into an above average NBA player. In either case, he's not the future cornerstone of the franchise, but he is great trade bait. Jazz have enough pieces to pull of a legit trade for an experienced vet and fearless, crunch-time leader, without mortgaging the future. Go big...Trade Hayward, GS 1st pick, trade exception. Ignore the shallow thinkers, ie. Hantler!
